A big thank you to all ouR
Sponsors.

New tactics, tight lipped and clever football were the ingredients for making it 4 in a row for the Bulldogs in Sundays Grand Final against Railways.
Reg Hall's boys assessed the play in the first quarter allowing Railways a minor lead on the scoreboard.
In the 2nd quarter, Towns added 4 major scores to take the lead at half time. The prowess of Drew Carlyon and the Bulldogs back line throughout the game were outstanding. At the opposite end of the game while the forwards are kicking the goals, sometimes the work of the back men dim in comparison.
In the second half the Bulldogs dug deep and dominated the game. The mega force of the 22 players is not something opposing teams take too lightly. The professional attitude of the Bulldog leader Dale Baynes reflected back onto his players, showing the huge crowd of approximately 4000 people they were there to play football, and there to win. The crowd of Towns supporters in the grandstand were chanting for their Bulldogs every time they had the ball. This lifted the players to an extra level as you saw on the scoreboard
at the final siren. After the traditional salute to the crowd around the oval, Liam Carlyon was carried off the field by teammates to celebrate his 100th game. Not a bad way to celebrate a milestone.Sheldon Nelly received the Geraldton Guardian medal for best on ground. Scott McLeish received the East Fremantle medal for their player of the game. Well done to all medal winners. The players left the field paying homage to their loyal supporters.
WAY TO GO BULLDOGS !!!!!!

IN OTHER NEWS

Rick Marianna joined the select group of recipients when he received the GNFL life member badge.
Great work Marianna. I am sure Rick is the first Towns person to receive this honour.

In the 2nd semi final, Zac Middleton was awarded the Ridge Family medal for best on ground. Hard work, determination and talent prove to be positive in this great game. Well done Zac...

But wait..... There's more.
Leanne Bidwell was named the GNFL Club Person of the Year for 2009. Leanne received this award over many of her worthy opponents. There is no need to recap the work she does at the club. If you know her you will understand the depth of it.
