I am very pleased to announce a development squad for season 2010. The kids selected in this squad have been chosen due to their commitment to training during the pre-season and also due to showing signs of becoming quality league players in the not too distant future.

These players will train with the league squad all year and are encouraged to come to half time meetings and come to the huddles at quarter time and three quarter time so they grasp how much planning, system and thought goes in to league football matches.

This basis will hopefully fast track the boys in their learning and understanding of the style of football we want them to play, so when they are given an opportunity to step up and play league matches they know what is expected of them, that way we are not just hoping they will play well, but we have given them the best chance possible to rise to the challenge of playing at the highest level in Geraldton.

As with the league squad, players can and no doubt will be added to this squad throughout the year.

The league players are superb at taking these young blokes under their wings and giving them direction and advice during training sessions, and also during their Under 16’s and Colts games.
