Saturday 17th April
took us up Northampton for their annual Lightning Carnival.
Towns played North under very warm conditions in the first
game & came out with a 26pt winning margin.
Liam Carlyon suffered a rolled ankle and was rested for
the duration of the carnival.
The form of Wayne Bonney & Dylon Whitby Taylor was
promising.
Sheldon Nelly & Dale Baynes performed to their usual
standard.
Final score:
Towns - 9-4 = 58 pts
North - 5-2 = 32pts
The 2nd game started in blustery conditions vs Railways
and Towns were slow to start.
Towns had 90% of the play but did not convert into positive
results.
All players played admirably after a 3 hour break.
Shaun Tunbridge & Calib Mourish were strong in
this game.
Zac must have copied Liam, also rolling his ankle in this
game.
The goss is they are both down the ocean doing a bit of
rehab on their ankles.
Final score:
Towns - 5-4 = 34pts
Railways - 4-10 = 34pts
Dale Baynes finished off with 5 goals for the day with
Dylon Whitby Taylor booting 3 goals.
Towns have the bye in RD 1 so we will see all supporters
travel to Mullewa
For Rd 2 on the 2nd May.
