LEAGUE

IIn the top of the table clash between 2 under manned sides, we saw the Bulldogs come out 40 pt victors. Playing conditions were sub standard for the players under foot.
In this physical match, Towns dominated out of the middle, winning most of the clearances.
Opposition goals came mostly via counter attack.
The work horse - Liam Carlyon was hammered throughout the game, taking quite a few hits by his taggers.
Scotty McLeish reveled in his 50th game for the Bulldogs with a convincing win over Railways.
Well done to Jason Clayton in his debut game for the League.
It was a day of awards for Towns with the boys being the recipients of 98fms weekly awards.
Calib Mourish - Goal of the Day
Jordan Ugle - Mark of the Day
Zac Middleton - Player of the Day.
Well done to all.
The supporters sat up on the hill in freezing conditions but were staying till the final siren to watch their Bulldogs come off the field.
These 2 sides meet again in the last Home & Away game before they prepare for the finals.

RESERVES

Accepting their 2nd win for the season, the Reserves were on a high after a close game against Towns Reserves were kept on the back foot most of the game against a strong Railways side only managing 1-1 in the first Q. They got to 1 goal the difference in the last Q but allowed Railways to kick 3 unanswered goals, running away with the win.

COLTS
In the first Q we saw Towns match it with the inform Railways side, booting 4 straight goals.
The young Bulldogs lost a bit of momentum in the second, leaving the opposition goal square open and unattended, resulting in more goals to their opponents. The players do need to look for other forwards, not relying on the one player 90% of the game.
It was a smart move by the coach in bringing Jack Martin up forward, moving Bonney to the middle & Ashley Greene Headland to the wing. This changed the dynamics of the play resulting in a win.
Team effort got the boys over the line.
