LEAGUE
On this chilly afternoon we witnessed one of our fav sons, Brad Carlyon play his 200th league game for the Bulldogs. Even though Brad had been under the weather for the past few days, he lived up to our expectations, playing a good honest game. Also helping to celebrate his milestone were his 2 brothers Drew & Liam.

Towns played a less than convincing game only playing 2 reasonable Qs, allowing Mullewa to outscore them in the final Q.
When in possession of the ball, Towns skills were sharp and maintained discipline throughout the game. Mullewa plays a similar style of open football as TFC but they let themselves down yesterday through lack of discipline in this Gus Mourish Memorial Game.
Throughout the game, there seemed to be an influx of Towns glory hunters instead of maintaining the team structure, building a wall and keeping it locked inside their 50.

When opportunity arose, young Dylan Whitby Taylor performed well for his 3rd appearance of the day.
Leon Jones's skills & smarts were on show for the entirety of the game.
The charismatic player Dale Baynes, seems to demand the ball to his attention.
When Baynes runs out on the field next week for his 150th time for Towns, he will join that elite group of people in becoming a Life Member of Towns FC.

Winning the Gus Mourish Medal, was very fitting for this 6 timer, Liam Carlyon.
He would arguably be the best player in the comp, not receiving all the accolades deserved of a player of this caliber. One of the smartest, unrelenting players I have seen to date.
Towns took home the Gus Mourish Trophy once again.

RESERVES
A good win for the Towns Reserves. They were well equipped for this game at Mullewa.
With the ins of a couple of League players and Colts returning for another game, they achieved all they set out to do on the day, win the football.
In what has been a first for some years, they led throughout the entire game. Great work guys !!

COLTS
Running out with only 15 players against the second top side in Mullewa, Towns Colts had the hard task ahead of them before the siren blew. Not too long after they had an addition of a player.
This was a hard game for the young Bulldogs, having 2 opposing players free and no interchange bench. They did not let up for even a minute against Mullewa. You cannot expect a side to keep up the momentum when they are up against all odds.
Well done to the players involved.
