Is footy a winter sport?. It was like the middle of summer for
the game on Saturday against a very under manned Northampton
side.
Congratulations to Boxy and Chops whom both played their 100th
games for Northampton and even though they both played very
well they were unable to secure a win for the Rams.
Towns travelled to the game in a bus kindly driven by Dale –
I can only imagine the fun they had during the journey but they
all arrived safely and were ready to play. Northampton only
had 14 players to start the game so we matched their number
on the field but the luxury of an interchange bench soon began
to show in the hot conditions. Northampton remained score less
in the first quarter whilst the Bulldogs kicked 4 goals 5 behinds.
The rest of the match took on a similar vein with the final
score being 15 goals 24 behinds 114 to Towns and 3 goals 6 behinds
24 to Northampton.
Goal kickers were Graham & Jeremy Adams who both Kicked
3 Brandon Collard, Greg Cross & Tim Hamilton kicked 2 each
with singles from Wayne Bonney, Chris (Zac) Bell and a brilliant
one from Evan Pache who reported that he had an underwear malfunction
as he kicked which made the achievement even greater!!!!. Well
done Evan you are there week in and week out it is just rewards
to have a goal against your name.Best on ground was awarded
to William Thorne who had a terrific game, Brandon Collard,
Greg Cross, Jeremy Adams and Declan Parsons were also well worth
their votes.
Keep up the hard work boys’………………..this
is the business end of the season; this is when the going gets
tough and the tough get going.
See you ALL at training and at the game against St Pats at Wonthella
on Saturday.

After a huge muck up with our game change at Railways, we all came
together as a team and worked out a plan between all of us and made
it to the other venue at the REC with a full team. Thank you
to everyone who helped with this madness and I apologies profusely
to everyone for the mix up. It was a combination of lack of
communication and forgetfulness on several peoples parts. Thank
you also to the boys from the league, Sheldon and Revis (who managed
to turn up and run for us even with the flu)…. You guys were
great. Sean Taylor for running water, thank you, and to Cobbers
nephew Allen for running boundary. This is what team work is
all about. I LUV YA ALL FOR HELPING ME (Lisa) and the
TEAM OUT!!!!!
BOYS BOYS BOYS! You didn’t let me down. Keeping
true to our word, we made 3 wins in a row!!!! FANTASTIC GAME
TOWNS. Obviously Cobber putting you all in different positions
and rotating the bench works really well for you.
I’m not going to rave on here, just don’t get big heads
about the huge win! HAH HAH HAH!!!! Get as big a head
as you like fellas – you are all deserving of it! Remember
though next week is another game. Just go on out there and try
your hardest again.
Our best players today were Dylan…outstanding as usual, Matt
Peters (who played an incredible game and kicked a lovely goal that
he didn’t even know he kicked after getting knocked down)…….Jake
Hickey “lookin good Jake, chasing the ball and your player”,
Jayden Simpson with great marking and kicking 2 goals, and last but
not least Quanie who also kicked two goals in F Forward and then stopped
the goals from Railways in F Back. Well done boys….another
great week.
So our goal scorers were : With two goals each……Sharzah,
