On another beautiful day for footy our U16s side produced an
excellent result by beating Railways Blue by 34 points. I don’t
think anybody can remember the last time this side lost a game
so it was a great result for the team.
The wind played its part in the first half Towns kicked 2:6
to 0:3 in the first quarter and then Railways Blue replied in
the 2nd 1:2 (t) 2:1 (RB).
This saw our bulldogs take a 10 point lead into half time.
The wind just stopped at half time but Towns just kept up the
pressure all around the ground the 3rd quarter saw our lead
extend with 4:3 to 3:0 being added to the scoreboard. The final
quarter resulted with 3:3 to Towns and 1:0 to Railways Blue.
Final score Towns 10:14 74 to 6:4 40.
Towns maintained the pressure all game and right to the end.
The second efforts and general commitment to getting the ball
certainly achieved a very well deserved victory.
As you can see a great team effort with all players contributing
to this win.
Next weeks game is against Chapman Valley at Wonthella at 11am.

UNDER 14's
We unfortunately didn’t have all our players at last Saturdays
game. The U14’s played Chapman Valley at Wonthella, but
the game didn’t go our way. Don’t worry boys, it’s
only game 2 and you are all still getting to know each other.
In time, the games will get better. Our best players on the
day were Jake Hickey and Sharzah Kelly. Well done to Dylan for
getting our score on the board. Better luck next week hey boys!
