UNDER 16's - Towns V Northampton

Great team effort today. It would be easier to say who didn’t score rather than who did score but that was because there was some great team spirit and the ball was shared and all players were ulilised to their best.

The skills were crisp and disposals accurate from all players. There were a few kicks slightly off target – some of them in front of goal but on the whole it was an excellent display of footy and very enjoyable to watch.

Well done to all players it was a credit to you all, your teamwork and sportsmanship was great to see.
Next week we actually get to play an away game against St Pats at 11am.

Final score Towns 22.5.147 def Nthmptn 2.6.18

UNDER 14's - Towns V Brigades

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO SHAQUILLE (30TH May)  AND TRAVIS  (31st May) FROM EVERYONE AT TOWNS!  - TWINS HEY!!!!

Firstly, we must thank Sean Taylor for helping us out with Boundary Umpiring last week….. I forgot to mention it, my apologies!  We are looking for a permanent Boundary Umpire if there is anyone willing to help us out, please contact Lisa on 9921 5580 and we will gladly take up your services!

Ok – to Round 5 – Towns vs Brigades.  Big deal….we lost!  No… it’s not such a big deal boys, as long as you are enjoying yourselves you will keep on improving.

We have to mention a few players though that really stood out!  Firstly BARTON PARSONS…..you finally found your feet.  Barton played and exceptional game and put great pressure on the Brigades boys.  He ran constantly and got in the pack on several occasions coming out with the ball.  Barton kicked a spectacular goal for us, and I’m sure will be celebrating it for weeks to come.  Keep it up young man and congratulations for staying on your feet!

Another fantastic day for Dylan Whitby-Taylor.  This boy has incredible stamina.  After playing 5 games of footy on Thursday in the Belt up Cup for the  winning side, he pulled up a little bit sore, but still played his best again for us in the 14’s.  Dylan also helped the 16’s last week straight after our match.   This boy is one to look out for in the future!   Our three other best players in Round 5 went to Ethan Merry, Alex Dodd and Jayden Simpson.  Well done big fellas, you certainly can kick a long distance!

Just a note to you all about training – BOYS YOU MUST LISTEN TO ALEX AND SEAN.  They are there to help you improve your skills.   Remember, they are putting in their time for you and in return, should have your  respect.   Please don’t have Lisa coming down and telling you off for not listening or mucking around.  We are a team, and we will be a good team if everybody helps out and respects each other both on and off field.   We are all here to help each other out and to become better footballers.

Thank you to Calvin and Tyson who always help Lisa on Game mornings in the rooms.  Also thanks to Herbie Cameron for running water for us!  Good Job boys……  AND  a huge thank you to the league boys who help us with field umpiring each week.   We appreciate your help!

Congratulations again Team on GREAT BEHAVIOUR AT THE GAME!  You won another “E Point”.

Final score:
T owns 5 -2 (32)  to Brigades 14 – 17 (101).
