UNDER 16's - Round 1: Brigades v Towns @ Eadon Clarke

Firstly CONGRATULATIONS to Sam Middleton who played his 50th junior game this round.

Secondly well done to all players, it was a terrific start to season 2010 with a convincing 101 point win over Brigades.

On a very hot day our new boys did the club proud. We welcomed 8 new faces to this team, mostly last years 14s that moved up the 16s age group and a couple of new players who have just moved to Geraldton. All these boys fitted well into the side and worked well with the players that were in the squad last year.

Graeme Adams certainly had his kicking boots on – he kicked a fantastic 8 goals and actually pasted another off, 2 meters from goal to allow Evan Pache to get one on the board. Well done Graeme for a tremendous effort and for your unselfish play. Also HAPPY BIRTHDAY for Monday.

Sam Middleton in his 50th game was consistent and reliable as ever and put in a top performance. Wayne Bonney as captain for the day lead from the front and kicked a long bomb 60 meters that found the target.

Sadiq Miska popped up in the right places at the right time to be given BOG for the game. The whole team played well for the first hit out and left Brigades very flatfooted and out classed all game. Well done lads.
