16'S - Rd 2 – Northampton v Towns @ Northampton
Another HOT day. Another win on the board. Well
done to all involved.
Thanks to Gordy Clinch for driving the bus so
that we could get the boys to Northampton.
Northampton got off to a flying start ( I think
our boys might have been a bit jet lagged) finishing the quarter
with a 10 point lead. A quick pep talk by Scott and Cobber
and composure was regained and our boys settled into the game
plan and took a 4 point lead into the half time break.
The second half was much more comfortable but
not as easy as the score line might suggest. Our running players
certainly came alive in the second half and continued to feed
the forwards allowing Greame to bag another 7 goal tally.
William Thorne certainly found his kicking boots on his come
back game to kick 4 sweet goals.
Some of our new boys stepped up this game
and showed that they can handle the next level. Dylan Whitby
– Taylor was fast, clean and hard in his endeavour all
day. Jordan Harding was given the job to follow his player
all day that he did brilliantly and basically took him out
of the picture as soon as he was given the job.
